It's not useless in the majority of endgame content; seems like you just raid Naxxramas where everything is easy as that.

Let's see the tank taunt off a DPS on Heroic: Deathwhisper, oh wait.  She's immune to taunts if case someone pulls agro. 

Another instance; Let's say someone pulls agro on Sindragosa when she's casting Frost Breath.  Guess who just wiped the raid?
