Shark007 Codec or CCCP
Mcgreag:
I don't use any codec pack. Just MPC-HC with CoreAVC.
If in the unlikely situation I find myself missing a codec I'll just download that specific codec.
Xtras:
The biggest advantage with Shark007 is the 64 bit stuff. If you don't need those you might as well stick with CCCP for simplicity.
nstgc:
What do you mean by "64 bit stuff"? As in the codecs use 64 bit memory addressing?

Not really, it just makes it work with 64-bit players. Its up to the 64-bit players to do the memory.
namaiki:
Basically, 64-bit codecs for 64-bit media player, and 32-bit codecs for 32-bit media player.
You can run a 32-bit media player on 64-bit windows without any performance penalty.
AFAIK, at the moment 32-bit software still has the upper hand with optimizations and compatibility.
