Trouble with Seeding

<< < (3/4) > >>

Evilfairy:
Alright, just a quick update.

1. First of all, thank you for the advice about what to seed, I'm now uploading as fast as I can handle.
2. It's hard for me to tell what's good and what isn't. The largest majority of people I speak to are from Scandinavia, who laugh at me on a regular basis and point out that they have a 10/50/100Mb/s upload speed. In comparison to that, 65kB/s is abysmal and as such my comparisons are pretty far out, so therefore I apologise for complaining about something which I haven't really researched.
3. To those saying "read the Wiki", I repeat once again: I already read as much of it as I could. If I were to read something and still have questions, chances are after the 3rd time I've read it I'm not going to keep thinking "Do not worry, I shall suddenly interpret this in a completely different way and therefore I will understand it", I'm just going to ask on the forums. Yet another reason why I stated in my original post that I had already spent time reading, which is why a link to a page that my history is currently full of was not was I was looking for.

Anyway, problem here is resolved, this thread can be locked now.

You are thinking of Sweden, not the whole Scandinavia.

I'm thinking of mainly Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

I'm fully aware that Sweden can tear almost any other country a new one when it comes to internet connections, however I asked a sum total of 35 people on my contacts list just now and I found 1 person that had a lower upload speed than me, and she was from Australia. Even my friends within this country have higher speeds than I do.

So once again, I understand that there are maybe people far worse off than I am, however when compared to the connections of other people that I have been exposed to, you can understand why I was led to believe that it was slow.

Hiero:
If the complaint is about your speed then get a better ISP because nothing magical is going to get you faster speeds I'm pretty sure.

Make sure you're not throttled..etc..

Al_Sleeper:
100kB/s seems to be pretty low for a European country. For many years, Russia was well known for its bad internet connections, but now my ISP offers 5 MBit/5 MBit unlim as the lowest speed connection.
