I want to contribute

now before i get flamed for not using the search button for topics like this,
i want to say that I did and that i couldn't find an answer that helped me,
or one that I understood for that matter.

now my problem is that,
i used to be a power user with a 1.5 ratio,
but for some reason I can't seem to upload,
which killed my ratio to a .93.
i'd love to seed for a while after downloading
but I don't know how to fix my current problem.
i leave the torrent open and alive for hours after i finished downloading
but the most it uploads is about 15kb/s, MAX.
i live on the west coast of the united states using high speed internet.

Looking through your torrents I can see probably why. The most number of leechers on any of your torrents is 6 however that has 300 seeds. The rest bar about 2 others are at 0-3 leechers. In other words, not matter how hard you try to seed there is nobody to seed to.

Find a few popular torrents and seed them. 1080p torrents are good because they are freeleech so easy to download and have a number of people downloading them all the time. Recent additions to the tracker are also good.

You could also go to a fansub group's page, download an anime and seed the same one that is on BakaBT

just continue seeding the torrent. even while not uploading any data you are contributing to the community by keeping torrents alive.
you obviously won't get any upload credit that way though.
if that doesn't fit your need i guess the title is a bit misleading as you don't want to contribute but plain increase your ratio. ;)

I don't believe that you didn't use the search button. About a third to half the topics are about this same damn question. If you just looked down the first page of the "Need help?" forums, even without searching, you'd see at least five threads.
