Proin I am going to ask you to please post your computer specs and what you have OC'd to in order to get those high scores because you must have a BEAST of a machine to get that high in 720p

oh LOL my FFXIV Beta thread gets locked because I didn't search correctly -shrugs- sorry?

I got the beta and I love it. It's actually great to have for a role-playing game. There's a lot of lag issues including mouse movement and character movement, along with delays in attacking and what not. I even lowered the graphics (which I was running smoothly in terms of FPS) but that still didn't help at all. I know there's a mouse patch out there.

The graphics, on the other hand, is nothing less than beautiful. I'm currently Gladiator class.

Im still planning on playing this some at release, I have alot of free time and theres only so much to do in Wow so im going to be playing this some to. I tried out the beta and the controls and stuff werent as bad as everyone said so I wont have a problem with them. I liked playing a melee class. I tried to play as a caster but there controls really bugged me with all the double clicking to fight one mob.

Intel i7 980X OCed to 4.20GHz.
12GB (6x 2GB) Corsair XMS Triple Channel 1066MHz RAM OCed to just over 1100MHz.
ASUS ATi Radeon 5970 w/ 2GB of DDR5 VRAM (stock settings).
2x Intel 40GB SSDs striped (primary(OS) disk).
320GB WD 10,000RPM HDD (where the benchmark .exe was located).
Creative X-Fi Fatality Professional w/ 32MB of ARAM.

Those are the relevant specs (I have a lot more drives that are irrelevant to the benchmark).

However, i'll probably give it a bash when it's released, if there is a free 10 day trial or something.

Having played WoW for so long it would definately be a nice change to play something a bit different, even though I do wish to see how the cataclysm expansion pack plays out too.

Cataclysm is superior to all of their previous expansions. I'm in FFXIV Beta and WoW Cata Beta. FFXIV is disappointing and it's time consuming (you can tell once you dip more hours into it). WoW Cata, I just finished Deepholm zone and it's by far the best zone Blizzard ever made, lots of fun quests and really awesome looking zone (you're basically inside a big ass rock that's destroyed, lots of floating very tiny rocks and big rocks in the air, lots of shocks, other cool things to look at too and it's not an easy zone to level in). FFXIV seems more into RP players, so if you like RPing then FFXIV is the way to go... of course WoW has its own little RP zones, like Goldshire. FFXIV is honestly very pretty and using their Crystal Tools engine, you can do your very best to try and have your characters image do whatever and see if any of your equipment or limbs go inwards (which looks very ugly in games), and you can't. More equipment slots in FFXIV, lots of nice features. But well, game play and class development utterly fails compared to WoW, besides the ability to jump and go almost anywhere on your screen which it also fails in that. :/ ... hmm, I think I did some sort of comparison... anyways..

I play FFXIV Beta about 5 hours a week, the rest of my game hours are either in FFXIII or WoW or WoW beta.

Probably.  I was going to get the PC edition too.  Also, for some unfathomable reason Square Enix decided to rename the Chocobos to 'horsebirds'...*sighes*

I play on Lindblum Server characters name is Kuradoberi Matsumoto my guild is The Star Onions have alot of fun on the game but it does need some work and they are releasing the patches to do so late this month and another set early 2011. The whole 8 hours thing isn't really accurate I guess I been playing it alot and have never ran into the cap/surplus issue that haunted the players before the games release. I know critics/reviewers have given the game a hard time which is understandable im not going to sit here and tell you its perfect when its not but I have faith in SE that they will fix problems and create more content for the MMORPG! Anyways i could ramble on and on about this game if anyone is interested and wants to hear more just PM with any questions ill try and help out the best I can ^^.

I canceled my membership before 1 month was up. I found the gameplay too slow, and no one really talks. Graphics were good but the game is boring.

This was my most anticipated MMO in years (loved XI) but I too left before one month was up. They offered two further ones to try and keep people hooked.

It was a real shame that they fcked it up, it had so much potential. The questsystem was ridiculously over-complicated and it was a typical time/money-sucking grinder.

But seriously, I just didn't have the time to push through those incredibly boring first months 24/7 work ...

Ya it seems the crafters gouge prices bad in game but time will solve this. After items have been made by alot of people supply is up so cost goes down. But i dont like paying crazy amounts for items on any MMORPG lol ill admit that
