PeerBlock ~Effective IP Filter or Harmful~

It does block legit seedbox IPs. It was blocking the OVH network and A LOT of seedboxes are hosted in their datacenters. Thus a lot of great potential bandwidth is lost.

What is the point of "hiding" torrents on seedbox ? I assume that seedbox is diffrent place than your home,
and after seedbox download what you want you transfer the files to your home via network?
so if "THEY" get your seedbox ip, they go to that company and the company gives the info of that seedbox
so anyway i see you guys using SeedBox as Proxy, cuz you download file via them not directly.
Its ok to use SeedBox for Ratio and Shearing but i dont think it's much more secure than downloading directly.
The PeerBlock thing got good idea but its imposible to block all IPs, and then they is a LAW that tell ISP to hold
your network activity for few years so anyways in the end they will see that you download from tracker or seedbox ;)

Wayyy off.
You use FTP to download from the seedbox to your home. If you do things right it means you're using a SSL FTP connection thus your ISP has no idea what you are transferring. As for uploading torrents to the client that's no problem... You can just copy paste the torrent link thus you do not need to download it... As for the operators giving you're identity to whom ever the chances of that happening is low since it's illegal without the proper court orders. Even then if that does happen... you have people who share the seedbox... thus it all gets very blurry.
So matters not if my ISP sees the IP I'm connection to... all they see is a nice encrypted FTP session that looks like TCP and not FTP.

I think PeerBlock is useless, it do more harm than good. It has already been stated why it is pointless against these interest groups, and how it just block of for potential lecher and seeders. Luckily/unluckily for me my ISP has a firewall set up to protect our privacy, so we all have the same IP, and live in another city. The laws in our country is made so the ISP aren't needed to give interest groups like IFPI my information, so if they manage to track down my ISP, they wouldn't be able to get my information unless it was the police and it was about child-pornographic. The downside to it is stuff like DDL, where another person might use the same service as me, so one of us won't be able to download. But it isn't that bad since I don't need to find a software that maybe or maybe not give me safety ;)

1. You think they cant encrypt ssl ftp connection ? (ha-ha)
2. Operators can give your identity
3. Oh yeah, blame your friends for leeching -_-
4. Downloading files from seedbox via ssl still make a big transfer in network and your ISP see you downloading something big.
Lets end this. you got your points i got mines - I dont see point for buying/making seedbox just for 1 persone when you use your pc 20-24/h
