I actually went back and tried out the original game earlier this year. Nostalgia was all it was for me when I recalled how good it was, nothing like c&c 1 that is still good in its own way.

Nostalgia? You mean the game was actually FUN?! Wow, hard to see those these days when ur all busy with grinding

totalwar was alot more fun back during the frist few patchs for rome. in those versions you only had to just win fights to make your general's aquire traits and more experience. after the patchs it just became fucking gay to make a good general, i think only an epic battle would ever give them experience......... stupid crap really when you don't really have any control over such events, only what your own army is doing.
