One doubt about 日本語 :D
Sakura90:
I don't know where to ask about this, so I thought coming here... someone in BakaBT should know :D
I was doing the exercises about adjectives (みんなの日本語一, 第8課 ;D) when I stumbled upon the 小さい and 大きい adjectives. There they are like い adjectives, but I remembered listening somewhere to 小さな and 大きな (like in the Clannad song, 小さな手の平, lol). So I searched in the kanji book and there it says:
大(おお)きい=大きな
小(ちい)さい=小さな
So, it's the same to use them as い or な adjectives? Or are there cases where I have to put 小さい and others 小さな?

There's quite a few kanji that have multiple sounds. I can't say much else since I stopped taking japanese after the first 2 courses.

Here's a tip, when trying to learn a new language, stop thinking in English, or any other language, adept into the one you're learning.

I'll try and look into this, if I can find my books.
I'm sure I got the books somewhere in my room (it's a tiny bit messy in my room now, cant see the floor because of papers/books/reports).

Hehe, yes, but the thread was about a specific doubt I had with the form of two adjectives :D

Gunttatseb already answered me by PM with an explanation. Now I understand it. Thanks anyway :)
