Yeah, that's because the bad data is discarded and the piece is downloaded again. You should not have any bad data in anything you download from a good client like uTorrent, unless you move the data around and the data isn't written properly somewhere along the way.

Hmm, last time I used uTorrent was when version 1.8.5 or 1.8.6 was the newest...
But I doubt that. It makes more sense if the torrent can't be forced if the option is unselectable.

Anyway, like I said before, remember the global ratio is the important one. That's why I suggest leaving several torrents seeding, as there is more of a chance to catch a leecher (for lack of a better term, heh) when you are seeding more torrents. Even if individual torrent speeds are lower, collectively your torrents move more quickly and stably.

The information needed to coordinate between all the clients in the swarm. But there is no Global Download rate. At least not where the Global Upload Rate is located...

I'd like to know why, when I have set the limit to seed/leech a maximum of four torrents, it still wants to have eleven running concurrently.

--- End quote ---

Theres a global download rate, verry verry close..

You can even make it visible and ajust it in the main window.

About the maximum active torrents.

Try setting "Maximum number of active torrents" to whatever you want.

I had to quote you in a reply to see if you actually copied your preferences window. I was hoping you had, because it would make it easier for me to explain some things. Upload is set to 100, Down to 0.

Overnight, it appears that I had a steady run of the 70-90 range. I've lowered my upload rate to 100, in order to have a more accurate speed graph. ( If I could copy and paste my speed graph, would that make me a speed grapher?) You lousy pun of the day.

Wait, huh?  He just took a screenshot of the window - you can't really "copy" a graphical application like that.

jaybug:
Not a screen shot but this: "http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/5823/utorrentbandwithsetting.jpg" I hit the quote button to a particular post, and see if it was a an Internet file, or something else, say a screenshot. But it would be nice if you could copy and paste from uTorrent! Picture worth a thousand words sort of thing, you know.
