Shiki
newy:
Do you actually know what it is that is between your ears? YES, it's a brain. Try to use it. Why should Tatsumi continue chasing Natsuno in the open where everyone including the still living village people? A servant of the Kirishikis, outsider with whom the mysterious epidemic came. They are already suspicious enough. No need to add fuel to the fire.
Survival: Arrogant, aren't we, human? What makes humans superior to other animals that it is wrong for the Shiki to feed on them? Come down from your high horse, monkey.
Seishirou Kirishiki is a comic relief character among the Kirishikis as you haven't noticed at all.
You should learn to provide convincing arguments to your "theories" and stop the polemic bullshit.

The atmosphere would probably be totally different. Oreimo, no thanks. Way too...uh... un-serious.

It's like trying to reason with a monkey, ain't it? I has banana! *monkey howls in delight*
Or perhaps a brick wall.
I personally find the art style to be the perfect fit for the series. I'm not sure how to explain it but... it's kind of like, edgy. It's dark and moody. Just because it's something different doesn't mean it's bad.
Havoc10K:
I don't mind bad guys winning, but making an entire village a bunch of complete retards is the only way to that goal ?
I know the art work perfectly fits the show, the hairstyles and some characters are totally hideous, but I don't see how a village of complete retards is favoring the bad guys, there better be some really redeeming reason for this crap.

what in the open ? in a forest ? Natsuno ran through the trail in the forest when Tatsumi stopped chasing him, and since when did Tatsumi start being afraid of it all ?
you are providing nonsense arguments to defend the stupidity of this show, at least i try to follow logic, which this show doesn't do at all, baptism of modern rationalism ? does that mean stay ignorant to what you don't understand ? since when humanity didn't poke at the things they don't understand ? at worst we destroy what we don't understand, at best we get to understand it, I have no idea why you are defending this show so hard, but clearly I am not the only one that hates the logic in this show.
cptjanvier:
Of course a change in the art style would change the show. Personally, I also think that the art style fits perfectly. It adds a lighthearted and somewhat bizarre element to what could have been an extremely (like, deadly) serious show (with Ergo Proxy art style) or a more mainstream show (Oreimo art style). It's a fascinating style, because it's so unreal, yet I find myself caring about the characters quite a lot.
Now that's an anime I'd love to see - same story, different art styles - see how the story changes according to art style.

Whatever happened to just saying, "this anime just isn't for me" :X.
As for me, I don't have the qualms with Shiki that havoc does. Yeah there are some characters whose way of thinking and whose actions get on my nerves (mainly seishin, toshio sometimes, and some others), but whats new lol? Plot-holes, fortunately there aren't any... yet, can't really comment on plot-holes until the story finishes. My suspense of belief is still intact (unlike at times in Umineko where I just had to stop watching for a second and think... really............. ..)
At this point I'm just wondering what main character is gonna survive until the end... I sure as hell hope its not only seishin :P.
