Seeding question

So when I realized that I have been warned and I needed to get my ratio up, I started seeding torrents until my next evaluations, since I had been seeding through out the week, I thought I would be fine, but my ratio didn't budge at all. Is there something I am doing wrong that is allowing my account to let this go unnoticed?

2 things I can think of that you are doing wrong, not searching for related topics before starting a new one, and when I look at your tracker profile, it says you arent seeding anything right now, but that doesnt really mean you havent tried.

The first thing I will say is this; just becuz you want to seed a file doesnt mean you will have leachers who want to receive data from you.
I can DL a file from BBT at max speed, but I might have to keep that same file seeding for a few days before even one person wants data from me.
with out leachers, you cant seed is the moral of the story.

otherwise, check your torrent program preferences and make sure you dont have a cap on your upload limit.\

after taking a glance at the files in your trackers leached section, it seems like you have some files that would likely get you a reasonable number of leachers. Make sure your upload limit isnt capped, and then just seed away. but as I said before, dont just assume you will be uploading data simply becuz you are seeding.

Is it possible that my client isn't 'connected' to my account per se?

its obviously connected, becuz your tracker shows files that you have downloaded, but they are all in the leached section, which means you arent currently seeding anything.

Its just I haven't used bakabt in a while, so all of the torrents were downloaded a couple months ago, and I have gotten a new client since then, since my account was warned, I havent dled anything from this site on it, Is that a possible problem?

this is not a problem, it just adds a few steps (which you could find in the wiki) but I will help explain it anyway for you.

Do you have those files that you DLd on your computer still? If the answer is yes, then re download the torrent files from BBT and assign them to the proper folders where your files already exist. then do a force recheck to be sure all of those files are the same. once that is done you can begin seeding them.

read over this link very carefully, if you do so, it should explain all the steps you need to take to re-seed your files

I only have the video files, not the torrent files itself.

I know that. you will have to go into BBT and re DL those torrent files. It is really easy to find which ones you need, just check your tracker profile and click on the torrents you leached, it will take you to the page where yuo can re-DL the torrent. at that point you will need to follow the instructions laid out in the link to the wiki I provided above.

I have no problem trying to help you give back to BBT, but for the sake of not making a huge thread over this issue, please PM me if you have further troubles.
