Probably a stupid question

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark, and say Highschool of the Dead.

That way you'll get to be ninja-fast when the series is finished, and can beat other uploaders to the punch ;)

If you had the incentive, you could sub the episodes as they were released (if this is required) or whatever... if it's only two episodes in, then you'd even have time to learn how to do something like this even if you have never done it before.

Just a suggestion though, this sort of can be a lot of effort...

Have you offered before? There are pre-made templates available.

What matters in offers is not how fast you put it together, but how high the quality is in the end, both of the torrent page and the quality of the files. If you haven't noticed, offers are reviewed repeatedly and changes made if any are needed. Usually they aren't accepted for a few days.

So having extra time to work on these tasks won't allow him to produce a better offer? Thanks, I have been living my life believing that you can achieve more if you spend longer working on it. =p

Yeah, I know about templates and what makes one offer get accepted over the other. But I have no idea what this guys skill set is, or how much free time he has. I wasn't encouraging him to do it fast, I was suggesting he does the opposite and gets started ahead of time to produce something good. Even doing decent encoding can take a long time if you aren't yet familiar with any tools.

Oh, Dalshien I guess it's worth noting that someone else might put up a better offer than you, or a better one might come along five minutes after yours gets accepted, so it might be better only to take on a project if you feel you will enjoy it and/or learn something. Without knowing what the anime is, or what source files you plan to use, it's pretty hard to guess how much work it might be and how likely it is to be a "wasted" effort.

If it *is* High School of the Dead, then I'm know that at least a couple of groups have picked this up, so you could be comparing their fansubs/speedsubs and video quality as they get released, and of course working on a nice offer page. Yes, use a template, but take a look at the offers page and see what kinds of suggestions people make about those ones. People will generally be impressed if your first offer looks very attractive, includes all relevant information and you are also able to answer questions and give screenshots relating to the other alternative encodings that are available.

At the other end of the scale, if you want to take some TV rips and do all the processing/encoding, translation and subbing yourself... this will be a huge amount of work by comparison.

Its Nurarihyon no Mago. Anime started airing this month.  :-)

Not necessarily in this case, unless you (er, he) can whip up a really nice looking page, which requires extensive BBCode knowledge. Otherwise, going with a default template is perfectly fine. And no matter how nice the page looks, only the best quality encodes are accepted.

You somehow seem to be under the impression that OP plans to rip, sub, and encode the show. Nowhere did he say he wanted to do that. Forgive me if this is incorrect.

As for doing it fast...

... kind of gave me that impression.

I also suspect that is a waste of time, unless he is actually already doing that, as he seems to have stuff to offer already.
