I knew a guy who once confided in me that he did not make the connection between sex and babies until he was in his mid-twenties. He was raised in a very "proper" family environment, and when he asked in his youth where babies came from, he was informed they were put into mothers at the hospital. He never got around to querying the lie and putting the facts together until much later. What's worst is that he (apparently) masturbated avidly throughout his teen years - he simply believed he was indulging in some sinful and secret act, and obviously would not have dared to discuss it with his parents or siblings. He just did not - for over a decade - think to wonder what the "white stuff" (his words) was actually for...

yea iv started to think that too acctually, and i think you might be right about the natural insticts, i mean, even if they lived totaly seqluded, if they are attrackted to eachother, there are pointers that should give them a little clue here and there, BUT, then again, if they lived seqluded, then they problably been living in a very stright family too, and anything that has had to do with their genitals and feeling good must have been taboo, so when they got togheter, they might have hidden that part of eachother from one another....im not sure what to make out of this article after all...

Well if we're going to get technical i expressed disbelief before all of you.

Wow... That's kind of hard to believe that it took them that long to figure out how to procreate. I mean, come on! Cavemen didn't have any sex ed teacher to tell them how to get it on (or have we reached some sort of monumental pinnacle of obliviousness?).

I just find it really hard to believe they suppressed their sexual instincts for that long and didn't stumble upon someone somewhere discussing it before then. I mean, stranger things have happened but come on!
