Your Smartphone/Cellphone
« on: July 21, 2010, 04:47:15 AM »
I just got myself a brand new spanking Motorola i1 (thank god for ebay, its impossible to get it on any store)
the first full touchscreen Smartphone with PTT feature (Nextel & Boost)

I must say I'm pretty impressed at what it does. This is the first smartphone I've owned. Tho personally I like the iPhone despite what some may say, I live in the border and Nextel is a big big BIG help for international stuff.

anyways. . .only downside is Android 1.5 (pretty old). . .not that I have used the newer versions enough to really complain but. . .
I recommend it so far

8.78/10

how bout you guys? what do you think of your phones? you love them?

*Oh and for other Android users:
 any apps that you recommend?

I have a Nokia N93. It's old now, but still good, also has a good keypad and I can keep the screen clean of fingerprints :)

And I have almost exclusively used Nokia - the phones are reliable and very well built. N93 is big, but I don't really care about that. 3x Optical zoom and keypad with large keys is great. Also, when I bought it 4 years ago, its specs were very good compared to phones at the time.

I have a iPhone 3GS, I like it, its been able to do everything I have wanted it to do, and has access to tons of nice apps.

Also, I get a very large discount with ATT so I didn't bother to look around at other possibilities, and unless an issue arrives that really pisses me off, I will be sticking with iPhones unless something truly spectacular is available at the time I buy my next cell phone.

I have a Pantech Vision. Its a good phone. I can use it for messaging, and with a data plan (which I can't afford) I can get internets (3G). Still rather have an Android.

Whats the 4 like? I'll most likely be giving it a miss as I have over a year on my contract left anyway, but not actually spoken to anyone who has one yet.

It's slick, smooth and full of sensible default settings. Unlike the BlackBerry, I do not feel the urge to change every setting while using the iPhone.
Of course, this is my first Apple product ever, so I don't know how it compares to older iPhones.

And I've never used a blackberry, so the analogy is lost on me.
