And I've never used a blackberry, so the analogy is lost on me.
I used both the 3GS and the 4 and I must say, first of all the screen quality is just AMAZINGLY different. from the specs the 4 has like 320 ppis while the 3 has like under 200. its really fast (faster than my i1). more sensitive to the touch, the design is beautiful. 2 cameras (front and back). and video calls are quite fun.

I now have an iphone. It is the best phone. It can download apps to it. It's 3G and has the wifi's.
Lol, this comment is from this video for those of you who are wondering. I'm not a big fan of the Evo itself, but I don't think iPhone is so magical and revolutionary as Apple seems to make it appear, especially considering how many features it lacks that other phones possess. Frankly, I find Android OS to be far more progressive in terms of development.

Beware, it has some nsfw language.

before the iphone there was emptiness. . .they did revolutionize mobile phones, I know they didnt invent the touchscreen and stuff, but they packed it up nicely for the market, after the iPhone all the other touchscreen phones with only 2 or 3 buttons started appearing. so  revolutionary it is.

Ok yes, I'll agree with the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, and maybe even the 3GS. But in this day and age with so many amazing Android smartphones, I think Apple's slogan for the iPhone 4 of "this changes everything" is a bit far-fetched. Don't get me wrong, I like the iPhone line and the doors it has opened for the smartphone business, but I just feel that Apple is sorta dropping the ball as things progress. Essentially i was terribly disappointed by the iPhone 4, and on top of that, I'm mildly peeved at how much Apple restricts their devices.

The biggest thing that annoys me is how people ask me if my phone is an iPhone, and when I reply that it is actually something else, they automatically assume that it is inferior or a waste of money.

that wont ever change.
the good: an app cant make it to the app store until it clears ALL the tests that apple wants. An apple must be perfect in order to be sold. if it crashes. . .well go to hell you cant sell that in the app store. Same thing goes with macOSX, they lost so much of the business because steve jobs has always been too much of a perfectionist. (are you a virgin!?) . . .such extents make apple so magnificent, expensive, and have low share in the market.
Although with the iPod the company came back up.

Android is like windows, anyone can develop any app and sell it or give it away. . .I mean you can download "beta" and "alpha" versions. I mean you need an antivirus for your android phone. . .nuff said.
anyways. . .I do like android just as I like windows, but I think mac's perfectionism has put it where it is.

Is there an antivirus app for Android? Yes. Do you need it? You'd probably be an idiot to download that since the odds of you getting a virus on that thing are pretty much zero. Slightly above zero if you rooted your device, but that is a different story.

Perfectionism? Once upon a time, I would have agreed and in fact would have lauded Apple for the same reason, but that isn't the company I'm seeing today. Anyways this is slowly edging off topic.

I just got myself a brand new spanking Motorola i1 (thank god for ebay, its impossible to get it on any store)
the first full touchscreen Smartphone with PTT feature (Nextel & Boost)

I must say I'm pretty impressed at what it does. This is the first smartphone I've owned. Tho personally I like the iPhone despite what some may say, I live in the border and Nextel is a big big BIG help for international stuff.

anyways. . .only downside is Android 1.5 (pretty old). . .not that I have used the newer versions enough to really complain but. . .
I recommend it so far

8.78/10

how bout you guys? what do you think of your phones? you love them?

*Oh and for other Android users:
any apps that you recommend?
ide suggest advanced task killer. I dont know about older versions of android but i didnt find a task manager in my Evo, and fiddling around with the phone you open alot more goofy shit then you even realize.

I have mine set to kill everything except my xm or pandora as soon as my screen is off.

It's not gonna be out in a few days, but if the leaked information is true, I wouldn't recommend it unless you feel you have to have a QWERTY keyboard. The Droid X or Droid Incredible are already out and they have better specs if the currently posted details are correct. Then again, rumors have a way of being false.  :)

Since Android is slowly coming around to having swype on all phones, you might consider skipping the qwerty keyboard altogether.

Yes, in those covers.
Not anything to complain really. It's served me well.
Especially in the attention department, there's just something about a big guy with a phone like that that draws attention.
I wonder what it is?  ::)

Because we can!

In the end Android is going to win this...

Droid has many companies on board making the OS more affordable &  mainstream, and the fact that the android market is completely open sourced & doesnt have that whole "only if we allow it" thing Apple has. Google & Apple have a fun time ahead... The only issue I see in this, is that RIM I feel got caught off guard and released a pretty crappy touch screen (the Storm) & followed it up with the Storm 2 which is just as bad...(shet rlly does strike twice :/)

Also...isnt the screen issue with the iphone 4 just glue from the factory not settling & dissapears after a day or two of use? or something like that...
plus SO much for "Revalutionary" new antenna, didnt they EVER think about the fact people would have to hold it there? :/ lol.

Noooo, it's a feature not a flaw! Apple designed it so you can evade NSA surveillance easily! Apple can do no wrong. FACT. ;)
