I have these OVAs RAW, but up to this day I never found a subbed file. If there is any I would like to see it here.

I just finished transcribing the hardsubs by Odyssey in Aegisub yesterday night (or rather, very early this morning...)...

It's just barebones so it needs editing, styling etc yet.

What kind of raws do you have?
I have two raws tucked away that I found on nyaa a while back, and thought about muxing the subs with one of them. But if yours is better I'll consider it.
If it's dvd-image great except my pc isn't in a condition to do any encodes atm unfortunately. But that would be ideal though for quality aspect provided someone does the encoding..

Ah!

That is really great news! Gall Force is a very fond series to me.

I know Revolution is a remake, and deviates from the orginal, somber and yet so well done series, but I still want to watch it, and the anime art is really cute.

As for quality I need to check. If I am not mistaken they are QTS Raw files (4 - complete OVA) with a really good quality to them, but I need to check back home (I am at the office now) so as soon as I got back I will send you a message detailing it and if you so want I will send the files to you.

The ones I have are an unattributed avi raw, and the other by Zero-Raws.

I highly suspect, if it really is QTS (can't seem to find even a mention of it anywhere?...), that it might indeed be the best alternative...

Edit: If the QTS release really is mkv (see down below) then it really isn't either of the ones I have as the Z-R one is also avi.

I may be confusing it with another RAW I have but I will check and get back to you very soon. Who knows the time to have these OVAs subbed has finally come! I also think the 4 ones I have are all MKVs...I may have gotten them from RapidShare a year ago when I was searchig the net for any subbed files from those OVAs. Lucky me I kept them on my Hard Drives! It will prove a very fortunate decision after all!

Also, is there anyone out there who'd like to volunteer to QC the subs?

My personal impression is the Odyssey subs are accurate enough, ...but that is coming from someone who doesn't know the language. So if someone wants to QC them, it'd be appreciated.

If you can do same thing with Heavenly Chronicles try to contact Reb on #fnau@rizon.net He made r2rip & even remastered fansub fo 1st ep but extremely lazy to continue.((

The possibility of finally watching those 4 OVAs with subs made me happy and just clouded my memory a bit.

I checked the raws I have and they are indeed AVI, and no info about who made them availlable.

Their size for avi are pretty big (average of 375mb) and quality is pretty good although not like a 720p mkv. They are not affiliated to any group but the quality is enough to keep them on my HD.

Infos from each ep:

OVA 1 - War Storm - lenght 27m08sec - size 380mb - Frame widt: 640 height: 480 - frame rate: 23 frames/sec - data rate: 1770kbps

OVA 2 - Galaxy Run - lenght 29m17sec - size 350mb - Frame widt: 640 height: 480 - frame rate: 23 frames/sec - data rate: 1482kbps

OVA 3 - Soldier Plant - lenght 29m26sec - size 394mb - Frame widt: 640 height: 480 - frame rate: 23 frames/sec - data rate: 1683kbps

OVA 4 - Homeway - lenght 27m38sec - size 334mb - Frame widt: 640 height: 480 - frame rate: 23 frames/sec - data rate: 1501kbps

Now these OVAs were not released in the US I think, so i imagine I could seed them here. But if not possible I can Nya them. I really would like to see those with subs so if I can help with these files I will gladly do so.

That is the unattributed raw I mentioned previously. I already have it so no need to seed it. But I'll check it against Z-R to be sure it's the one I want to use.

Unless Al_Sleeper knows of a better raw source for this OVA?

Any time I try to mux, the resulting video doesn't play correctly. It either stops for a while, or fastforwards. Audio also.
Uninstalling/reinstalling to latest(v4.2.0) doesn't help either. $:-\$

~~So until I can figure out what the heck is wrong with it? I need some help muxing. Any volunteers?..~~

Ep.1 subs, fonts, chapters: RSW9FEGT
Ep.1 subs_v2: FIR1306Z
Untranslated dialog at 16.29 and 17.33

Ep.2 raw: P8EJKM0B
Ep.2 subs: 3HW9OPYZ (same fonts as in ep1)

Ep.3 raw: ZENVMEJI
Ep.3 subs: PGTQOUTN

Ep.4 raw: XZ522KAR (Z-R, but I will switch this to anon raw because of badly encoded frames in Z-R...)
Ep.4 subs: UK1M8B7M (timed to Z-R, to use with anon offset 6.60s backwards...)

Raw is Zero-Raws, after a comparison with the anon encode it seems the better one; less jumping when movement, and the anon one has some rainbowing and crawling. Z-R does have some ghosting in places, but not so it would be noticeable...
(Except episode 4...)

Also, if anyone spots any errors, mistranslations, timing issues etc, feel free to mention them, so they can be corrected before the offer is prepared...

The Odyssey sub contains an awful lot of three-liners, I've broken up the more clearer cases, but need help with the rest...

Perhaps it helps to deactivate the header compression; for each single track go to the Extra options tab and choose 'none' for Compression.

I will still update the above post with the fourth episode once it's ready, so there's still some time to spot errors/corrections needed, so they can be fixed before the offer itself is prepared...

Yes, just tested. Downgrading to an earlier version (v3.0.0, picked at random) works.

But it's late now so I'll mux them tomorrow...

16:29 line: "There's air in here."
17:33 line was a bit hard to make out since it's over the radio or w/e. But I think it's "This can't be happening!" or some similar expression of surprise and disbelief.

...by the way, does anyone know where to find a background image for it? The AniDB image is pretty small, but there really doesn't seem to be much else. $:-\$
