Access Denied on one specific torrent??
« on: July 27, 2010, 05:27:42 AM »
So far I haven't had any problems downloading any other torrent, however when I try to download Sinryaku Teki Ren'ai Shugi (which is relatively new) i'm getting an access denied on this specific torrent :/ And i know this because I downloaded Kurenai right after it, and that one is downloading pretty fast. The tracker status only says 'scrape ok' and the torrent status just says 'error: Access is Denied'... I went to FAQ and searched the forum but no luck... so yeah does anyone have some kind of solution to this??

EDIT: Wait a minute... i'm trying to download Kui Communication and i'm getting the Access is denied error also  :-[

Try to recheck the files.

Then try to relocate the files.

These might or might not help but worth a try;

Turn off indexing in windows, alternatively anything else you have indexing like Google Desktop etc

Try assigning the extension of the files downloading to .!ut (option available in uTorrent settings)

Perhaps, I dunno but I remember reading in the wiki that there is actually a limit to the number of torrents you can download at once. Perhaps you have reached the limit.

Quote from: BBT Wiki
"Failure: access denied, torrents limit reached"
Cause:
You are downloading too many torrents.

Solution:
Users are allowed to download 3 torrents at a time. Power Users are allowed to download 10 torrents at a time. You are allowed to seed an unlimited number of torrents, regardless of your class. Check your userpage to see which torrents you are already downloading.

@Enzedder

Except according to his tracker page he's well below the limit, as well as being a power user. (though seeding 171 torrents seems a bit excessive...)
Besides if the error would have mentioned 'slots limited' I'd think he would have mentioned it in the OP...

Why I posted the above suggestions is because a general tracker error, 'access denied', is usually associated with a permission issue on systems rather than being a network issue...

Relocating the download location seemed to have made the torrents work now  ;D Thanks Al Sleeper!

As to the excessive seeding... I just don't stop my utorrent client nor do I ever delete any of my torrent on the utorrent list so... thats why >.<

Anywho, thanks to all the people who helped and tried helping!
