The browser window goes away but the process is still running and will run the cpu to 100%. If I browse for under 5 minutes it will terminate. Stopped using Firefox.

That happens to me too, although it has happened ever since 3.5, but simply terminating the process works...

Mozilla would have been wise to keep Firefox close to its roots, making it a super-refined and stable version of the original Phoenix/Firebird... It's starting to suffer from the same thing that its predecessor (the old "Mozilla" browser, aka SeaMonkey) did - it's becoming bloated and buggy.

Window task manager -> end process. Yep, A nice way to have to close your programs. By the way, have some good anti-virus programs that you should try.

Hmm i already got Nod32, when i have more than two they start to conflict random objects.

I had this happen once a few days ago, but not any other time, and I've been using 3.6 for quite some time. It certainly has nothing to do with a virus.
