@ Wolkec; there are more then those 2 that really work well, however the 3 that fohfoh listed I had never been happy with. (aside from Nod32, I have no experience with that one)
fohfoh~ just a random stab in the dark, but have you tried with MS Security Essentials? Your running windows it seems, so that should be free for you to get.
also, are all your virus definitions up to date?
otherwise, some viruses you end up needing to remove in DoS or at startup, and can become a pain.
I know I am prolly saying things that would be obvious, but it seems every now and then its the obvious things that get looked over.
