It just doesn't want to seed.

So, several months ago I obtained Outlaw Star Remastered and now that I have the internet back was planning to seed it. For some odd reason, whenever I try to add the torrent it just begins downloading instead of confirming I have the files. I've already checked if there were any missing files, corruption, and I did make sure that it was the right folder that the tracker was connecting to. Although I did just update to uTorrent 2.0.3 so that may be the culprit.

Any ideas on how to fix this dilemma?

Have you performed forced recheck?

Have you performed forced recheck?

I'd second this, and if not this, then i would ask if you checked the tags on each file to make sure the match the torrent
I have typed these words and you have been forced to read them.  Now you can go cry in the corner if you like :)

I had this problem a few times before. Does the name of the folder match too?
Parts of it I admired greatly, parts I laughed at till my sides were almost sore;
other parts I read with absolute sorrow,  because I think them utterly false and grievously mischievous...

Add torrent, select the proper folder, turn OFF auto start torrent, check all file names match, if they dont, right click each file under the files tab and choose to relocate each file. This way you wont have to rename anything. After that, force a recheck and, if all the files contents match, you can start seeding

have you also read this little portion in the wiki? It outlines how to handle what sounds to me like the problem you are encountering.
