How decent are the specs?

What are your plans for the system?

For $550 you could build something with the following:

Athlon II X4 635
Asus AM3 785G MB
4 GB DDR3 1600
Radeon 5770
Lian Li mini tower
Antec NEO 520
1TB 7200 RPM HDD

And add about 18 to 24 more months of comfortable usability.

I'm assuming that whomever you are buying it from hasn't installed a legit copy of windows.

Its DDR2, does not have windows OS installed but i'm not worried about it. My current setup is just a old Compaq Presario B2800 laptop connected via VGA cable to a 26inch lcd, so this would very much be my "for everything" pc, from playing 1080p to gaming. Its about US$290 ($SG400).

You buying from Sim Lim Square dude? I noticed the SG$.

For 400, that's ok.

$290 would be about equal to the new component cost for that build over here.  At that price the most urgently needed upgrades (RAM, a storage hdd, and GPU), would still keep you well under the cost of building the one I mentioned.
