I used to leech a lot, and I mean A LOT compared to sharing. Now, my ratio is 0.066 and if I download an torrent, I can have it on for weeks and still see 0.0%
I've reinstalled windows several times, I've got no torrents at all from Bakabt at the moment. How am I supposed to get my ratio up, if I can't get any torrents downloaded so I would be able to seed them?

Personal suggestion. Stop using your account. Download as a person not logged in. Then once your account is purged start over (can't login for a long time, not sure how many months). :p

Interesting suggestion, but if he/she does that, there's the problem of not being able to find what he/she wants... i.e. no search function. And it's 11 months IIRC.

Except that, as a warned member, he/she can't download even freeleech material, unless that rule's been changed recently.

1. Yes, the Wiki. You know, what you are asked to read when you join the site.
2. If you did (1) properly when you joined, you should have known that sharing is important and thus would have kept a backup copy of your data somewhere when you reinstalled Windows. That is not an excuse.

I recommend getting a bunch of releases straight from the FanSub's group that match the versions BakaBT holds. Download it from there, get 100%, then remove all the other trackers and use the tracker with your key to upload.

Download from TokyoTosho. And did you search the forums? I have seen a LOT of similar threads recently. Highschool of the morons i guess. Anyway sosseres gave a nice idea. Try it out. In case you need to search something, there are ways. Find out yourself. I found a lot of things about BBT by experimenting/tweaking this and that. There are several ways to get rid of your warning. Atleast you are able to seeds LvB, even though you only uploaded only 3MB. All these ratio problematic guys are from Finland.....

While logged in, browse all you want. After you find something you want to download, log out. Then in google, just type "bakabt (whatever you want to download)".

You'll see it in your google search. Download it while still logged off. After it's done, log in, download the torrent again and seed all you want.

I downloaded a pretty big series right off the bat, and it's pretty old and apparently not very popular... so I got a nice 0% ratio. ^^'
I've been slowly working to get the ratio back up.

This is what I did :
-downloaded lots of little bonus torrents (you can set them by size).
-downloaded every freeleach + bonus torrent I could find.

I downloaded a fair bit more... and after 3 days, I have:
4gig uploaded and almost 300 bonus points.

And as a bonus, tons of random, different stuff to discover ^^

Anyway, I don't have access to recent torrent since I just arrived, but I imagine it's easier when you do.

I have a question though, when does one get warned?
And was is the consequence? (Limited downloads or no downloads at all?)

And you get warned when the system decides to. You don't know and nor do staff. =P
Just keep ratio 1+ and you're fine.

Not 1+. Around 0.4+. Though 0.5+ will definitely keep you safe. And temuthril, what's the most common speed in Finland?

From what I've seen, 0.1 seems to be about right for the cutoff. But that's not the point. 1.0+ is encouraged, because that way you know you're keeping stuff alive. If everyone only seeded back half of what they downloaded, eventually all the torrents are gonna die off.

Im sure everyone won't seed back only half. There are always people who seed a lot and seedboxes too. 0.5 is the requirement. People usually do higher if they CAN. But if they have low bandwith they stick to 0.5+. If they have a good speed they try to go to the top 10. And i saw the announcement about the ratio requirement change. It was because people seeded more and leeched less.

The smartest ones don't even worry about the cutoff because they know how to control their downloading to keep a large download buffer. There are plenty of people with low upload bandwidth limits with high ratio (I'm one of them).
