I never sold my collections before nor will I ever. What I will do is replace the DVDs with blu ray then sell off the DVDs

30$ for even one sold ps3 game is quite low tho, well compared to swedish prices.

And you get pretty much nothing for 12$, so, big price difference?

Thats about 63 Swedish Krona according to a online currency calculator. 6 books.
Which equals pretty much nothing. You barely get a proper meal for that amount.

Even though I've bought a few manga I didn't really like, I'm not going to sell them.  I'm the type that purchases from used bookstores but never sells back.

Ah, the digital age is so nice. :)

I'd sell some of my books if anywhere round here bought them. I gave about 70 to a charity shop before I moved, and about 100 to a charity shop last time I moved too. This is what happens when your folks give you yours and both your sisters book collections. I'd like to get rid of some more, but as most of them are in pretty good nick I'd rather sell them than give them away. So for now I will keep them

NEVAR I will rather starve then sell my collections. I spent time and money to collect that stuff and I am really careful with everything I (used to) collect. So basically everything I have is in almost brand new state. But because I'm not a big spender I don't have to sell it.

I came up with about $1400 from selling my games two years ago to fund a move after I got laid off and couldn't afford my apartment.

Quite a bit of stuff I'll probably never see in a store ever again.

*Looks up at avatar in last post*  Funny - I sold one of my complete DVD sets of Haibane-Renmei once - fortunately, I had a second copy (the Mrs had one as well).

When it comes to food on the table, electricity in the lines, and rent being paid, nothing is worth hanging on to... hence, at one time, I had nearly the ENTIRE G1 series of Transformers IN THEIR BOXES and sold them off on eBay.

It's also amazing what niche can be sold for what price - for example, I am an avid model rocket feind - been so since the early 70's - you would not believe what some folks will pay for what is basically a paper towel tube with a balsa wood nose cone - my best sale was $500 for a built 1969 Estes Saturn 1B.

Mind you - I'd kill to be able to have them all back... sigh!

I wonder what someone will give me for my old AMG pencilboards... hummm...

At some point I realized that I don't need my collection as I hardly ever re-watch anime, so I sold all my DVDs) It's easier to download a show again than to keep track of DVDs.

I stop by the three local independent used game and dvd stores about once a week just looking for a copy of Haibane Renmei.  The average ebay price is just absurd.

I would imagine model rockets have skyrocketed in price now that regulations make it far more difficult to maintain a functioning collection.  When I was a kid it was pretty easy to go to a hobby store, or pick up a mail order magazine, and be able to buy some pretty crazy stuff.
