I don't see why I should put up with advertising and all-around crap just so I can chat using a 3d avatar.

I'm creepy enough as it is, without participating in online chats frequented by teenage girls.

Hmm ... all the people I know on IMVU are not teenage girls ... well at lease not the majority.

And no they are not all teenage boys either ... teens are in the definite minority.

Because teens actually know that they shouldn't press retarded ads.

Eh...most teens are stupider than you think, then :P
Well, in America, at least.

Yeaaah...I'd rather use IRC :s much easier.
And if you like roleplaying, I suggest you refer to bloodninja.

Ohdamn that was hilarious.

Actually I didn't get to IMVU because of an ad ... a RL friend that moved away from Hawaii used IMVU at the time.

But it seems like the internet consists of 90% IMVU ads, so i would not be surprised over that IMVU got atleast half of its users by those.

I've had Adblock plus ever since I can remember, so I don't think I've ever seen an IMVU ad.

What turned me off from IMVU is that i had to pay to post on the forums, had to pay to attain some accessories, and they had no environment to walk or play in. Just 3 spots to shift from that was it.. pissed me off.

But dam the avatars were awesome, it's a dam shame.

I had an account once... that was a few years ago. I don't remember anything about it anymore but I just no that I wouldn't use it for very long.

alot of people post pictures of themselves though like me and steven did.
I never had to pay to use the forums, and I really dont mind spending money to but stuff on there, since theres alot of ways to earn credits without buying them.
they've improved alot of the rooms, more or less it depends on the person that bought the room for the chat.
I have some really cool ones including a castle that has an animated dragon, some old creepy house that has animated boats, instruments,a sushi bar,a club, and a really pink room with waterfalls, beds, etc.you can jump off of the water fall and everything.
