I dislike most ISPs as much as anyone, but they don't have unlimited infrastructure. Cable companies have been getting hit hard as people stop using cable tv and landlines (for those who do phone as well).

You jest. The only real bottleneck for internet speed is the last few meters, between the curb and your home if you will. The big tubes of the internet aren't getting clogged in the least.

It's more than a few meters (feet!), as (to my rather limited understanding) cable lines are shared among all users in the neighborhood. That's why I and many others in apartment complexes have had many issues with Charter, while those in houses have had perfectly fine service from them.
I had spotty connection for about 4 months, before Charter upgraded some somethingortheother on our street. After they got finished tearing up the pavement and doing their nonsense, my internet worked consistently again, and they bumped all of us up a tier for free.

We do not have any limitations here, well as far as I know. There was something like that a while back, but not now. I use the same companie that used to have limitations before, but now they upgraded to optic stuff and I get my phone, TV and internet from them.
It is a bit annoying when internet is down and I can not call them to complain about it, but they usually fix it really fast anyhow. And lightning storms are really annoying.

That is all.

I hate Comcast internet, Cap and shitty service. Though I will say thanks to the latter I have got plenty of bills either discounted or completely comped. Now yes I use it, but I get DSL that has 1/5 of the speed and is just about as bad or with shittier customer service or I stay with cable, not a tough choice... I can't wait till they get FIOS down here, I will have to try and get flipped over. (takes convincing of a couple other people)
To tell the truth though if the cap was 1tb I could care less hell even 500gb is almost bearable if they had more stable net. Now with the money payed to them for this net phone I would hope they are upgrading their lines some people all they have is that phone and haven't caught up to having a cell.

I've been using Comcast for 3 years now and I've never heard anything about a cap, and the speed is great. I've got no complaints.
