Issues Muxing in MkvMerge GUI

(1/1)

temuchin:
i have a "muxing" issue; i hope some1 can shed light on.   i am using mkvmerge.
objective: i am looking to swap out Queen Emeraldas episode 02 with a new version
with corrected audio.  in the submission the french and japanese tracks were messed up.

the audio is fixed and is illustrated by the file named "001_track3c.mka" as illustrated below.
unfortunately the VobSub track (highlighted) is missing in the newly muxed file.

now here is the newly created file:

as it appears in the encoded file:

any commentary is greatly appreciated.

Lupin:
Make sure you set compression scheme to "none" for that track. MKVtoolnix recently implemented the "header removal compression" feature of the Matroska specifications that breaks a lot of programs. Either that or you bug the developers of your software to fix their programs. I recently encountered this issue while using anidb's avdump for some recently released files.

temuchin:
thank you very much Lupin.   ;D ;D   it was as simple as that.     :-[

Lupin:
late, but relevant info on the problem:

I've just tried putting "none" in compression for all tracks. The problem persists. Also, if the programs are the ones that are outdated and don't include the features, why does mkvinfo (part of mkvtoolnix) also has the same problem? It only lists two tracks in the MKV, where there should be three (video, audio and subs).

Am I missing something? :-\

Edit: The reply was supposed to be for this topic, but I ended up writing here without noticing :P
