Here is AT-X’s schedule for the week of 9.20 to 9.26. Under 9.20, at 11:30, 学園黙示録 HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD (12). Then there’s repeat airings later. On the next week, the hour long Angelic Layer memorial special replaces Shukufuku and HotD.

So yeah, brace for a hilarious Madhouse original ending.

That sucks, but isnt really unexpected. The manga's only 26 chapters, the last chapter came out in July I think and next one's due in September, that's 26 chapters in over 3 years and I read somewhere it was on hiatus for over a year. So I wasnt expecting them to keep going all year long when the manga's taking so long, but it's still disappointing coz I really love that show.

Hopefully we'll get a 2nd season, not some shitty ending.

I agree with that, nut I don't see anything sad with it, if they don't plan on taking a year break from making an S2.
I think even I would take the dog, his good smell sense could help avoid zombies in the city, when there are none in the vicinity, a little training to him and he could stay quiet with just a "grrr" when they are nearby, dogs in such times are a great asset, I wonder how things about this dog will go on.

oh I just remembered how did the mall stuff ended and I know what you meant newy, it would be a bit sad, and I wouldn't want this to be changed for the sake of anime show getting better rates, the manga is having a great ratings anyways.

please just don't take a year or 2 to make an S2.

well, i am a little bit late for this discussion but i have to say that i really like this show and i dont understand all the fuzz about "fan-service" in it.
maybe i am from the wrong planet  but really guys... can it be better ?? zombies, boobs, good animation, violence, fun  =  great anime.
why the hell are boobs and asses BAD nowadays ?? i dont get it....

i really like ecchi from time to time - again and again. its not this aggressive sicko stuff like in many hentai's (rape, sexual violence...), its somehow soft sexual fun. girls with big breasts must survive during zombie-holocaust.... I LUV IT

Fire only kills humans so fast because of the pain and shock. Zombies don't feel that pain. The only thing worse then a horde of zombies coming to eat you, is a horde of zombies coming to eat you, ON FIRE.

Pretty sure there were zombies moving around after the bus crashed. Technically, their brains should have suffered enough shock that they should not have continued moving. But if logically speaking, fire should only kill a zombie if it causes the brain to boil I'm guessing thus damaging the brain.
