I don't doubt a second season. They can't be stupid enough to leave it end like that, especially when there is more material. They might just start making up the rest of the story since the manga is released so slowly. (Though I would prefer to wait 5 years than to see another Elfen Lied ending...)

I don't either. The series generated tons of fans already so it didn't fail.

yup, and given the fact that it wasnt much time before it was released in english in the US. . . something must've clicked for that to happen. . .havent seen that since Code Geass

first impressions not so hot, though thats because i cant get it to work =P I was actuallly curious: to those of you who own the BD's... can you change the friggin audio language? Its on english by default, and for some reason i can not change it in the audio menu. It shows the 2 options but no combo of the arrrows, or select, or anything i can push will change it. It seems if you start playing the eppisode you can change it manually from the in movie menu, but thats kinda gay, you should be able to change it in the god damn menu.

I was wondering if they locked it for some stupid reason, or if my disc is just fucked up. Anyone have this that can check for me?

I thought Rei was reasonably depicted as a high schooler along with the requirements she expects of other people and part of the meanness later on. But I thought a lot more people would have been upset with Shizuru's airhead childlike behaviour. There is even a fourth wall joke in there where Saya was annoyed at Shizuru for being a ditz. Shizuru then told Saya "That's how the author wrote me...".

Why so much hate for Rei? Sure she wasn't my favourite character but I didn't find her particularly annoying. I thought Takagi was more of a bitch.

Just an Omake It's not really related to the official series.A fan made manga that looks like it was made to show fans are waiting for new chapters of manga...by the way Daisuke Satou & Shouji Satou are working on something else?also i heard rumors about new season starting 2012 i think but it's just rumors...Man think that it was one the Top Mangas at it's first days and it's some how unique ( it's amazing Hollywood Horror+Manga=H.O.T.D ecchi parts have made it funny though but yet it's cool ).
