Last I checked the only way a zombie flick can be ruined is if everyone does NOT DIE in the end.  ;)

I haven't read the manga and this tv series is seriously over top in a lot of areas but still, I find this show to be major fun. :)

About the "take responsibility" thing. She's making a joke. Here's an explanation from the translator's notes in the manga :

'Saeko tells Takashi to "take responsibility". ...apparently, there is a sort of common joke in Japan that any kind of sexual tension results in pregnancy, which means that Saeko is telling Takashi to take responsibility as the father of her child.'

And here I thought the major reason to take responsibility was for him to be her boyfriend.

Secondly, I thought perhaps she is asking him to take responsibility for her humanity. That he must keep reminding her that she is a human being. The way he looks at her seem reminder enough that she is a woman.

Animade:
For what it's worth... I thought "take responsibility" meant that there is a real possibility that she will kill those that may try to take him away from her, i.e., cutting up the other girls. Yes I do expect heads to roll, namely Rei's. It's a zombie flick after all.
