by gendered i mean that there are very masculine ways of talking/joking about sex - terms, actions, roles, etc - which may be consciously or subconsciously alienating if you aren't a male.
i probably don't need to supply examples. but you can imagine (or i can...maybe i'm wrong) a female reader being like, "uh, right. sure...."
again, just an observation.
and maybe i should throw out there that i am a guy. didn't know if that was clear. so i am not speaking for myself. any girls who want to correct me are more than welcome.
