I saw a girl buying manga today! 2nd time ever that I saw a girl buying manga.
If only anime was more mainstream here it wouldn't be frowned upon. I'm a sad panda now realizing this.

I see a hell of a lot of girls buying anime and manga. A pretty equal mix of guys and girls actually.

Caught someone out in my local CEX the other day (second hand games/DVDs) She had some anime boxsets that they didn't have on their system and so couldn't take, so the guy serving her called me over as we're friends and he knows I like anime, and when he asked me if I wanted them I sort of pointed out that they were Chinese bootleg boxsets. Don't think I made a friend there ^_^

It's called educating the public ... you don't know how many times I have had to pull items out of inventory ... refuse to take an item cos it was an HK knock off (as I call them).  I even know where you can buy them locally & have a few myself.

Here in Hawaii, you can find all kinds of people reading & buying manga.

Do I still have to classify as associating with either gender when I take anti-androgens so that I lack testostrone, but don't have intrest in estrogen and being trans?
