is you OS 32-bit or 64-bit? 32-bit max RAM is 4GB. If you upgrade to 64-bit (assuming that's the issue) you'll be able to have more RAM.

w7 x64, but the limit is from mobo, not OS

When i copy files from and to same hdd im stuck with 40MB/s only (im assuming its because read and write in same time on 1 hdd?)
