« on: September 01, 2010, 05:49:45 PM »
Im geting Midori No Hibi that have 20 seeds and 20 peers/ on me gives 12(20) seeds, 1(3) peers. (im downloading around between 50kbs to 100kbs)
http://bakabt.me/151174-midori-no-hibi-midori-days-exiled-destiny.html

Upload only started at 15% and been a bit slow for what my net is capable of uploading, hopefuly if i get the whole torrent i shall be able to upload at full speed?

Now that i finaly got a beter net conection with Upload 300kbs per second, i would like to know any tips for seeding this at its best.

Being patient. That is all.

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

Oh no, not another "new noob!" (redundancy ftw) ;)

Anyway, seeding a single torrent isn't the fastest way to up your ratio, though if it's freeleech it'll probably go up more steadily. Best to keep a large number of torrents going, that way you have more chances to snare leechers.

New noob? I thought just "Noob" would be enough. Anyway Freedom Kira is right. Seeding one torrent at once isn't *usually* enough to make you reach your full speed. Sometimes if you are lucky enough to connect to a 300kBps leecher, you will get your full speed. That's rare though. And he will be getting his speed from other seeders too. So seed as many torrents together as you can. Anyway, i wonder how you remained unwarned. Unfortunately you downloaded 40GB (>20GB) and your overall ratio has the weeping emoticon. Better to catch hold of as many animes as you can before you get warned. Then you can seed them all back at once when warned.

Probably not. If there's nobody downloading from you, then you thus cannot seed at full speeds.

But usually it helps to have the entire torrent. You do get better speeds that way i heard. After all you can give copies of any part of the torrent to people if you have it. But if you have 50% i guess it won't be that effective, seeing as how both of you might be missing the same part. I'm no good at these tech-stuff BTW. So don't go too harsh on me if i was wrong.

The only reason why having a completed torrent would give you better speeds is because you have more pieces of the files, meaning there is a better chance that you have what someone else doesn't. If there's no one else leeching, you will get zero up speed either way.

It's no wonder with only 2 leechers.

If it's possible to upload data to nobody, maybe you'd get higher speeds.

I don't get why people can't seem to understand this.
