Only in Japan, Real Men Go to a Hotel With Virtual Girlfriends

temuchin:
so i'm at home in my apartment whilst having dinner; (what kind of dinner you ask?  well: pasta with shrimp & tomatoes topped with extra virgin olive oil if you must know) and i am taking massive sips of my fancy microbrew beer as i peruse the first page of today's Wall Street Journal.   articles on currency trading, hamas, afghanistan, some bullshit about bowties and patents and finally an article about a dating sim game called "Only in Japan, Real Men Go to a Hotel With Virtual Girlfriends".

allow me to break the essentials down quickly - i know next to nothing about sim-games and such, i mean if i want to hook up with a girl i would buy one er i mean meet one, so.. a very interesting scenario i must say:  there is basically a dating-sim game called "Love Plus" with 3 girls called: Manaka, Nene (my fav), and Rinko.    enter a real life desolate vacation hideaway that peaked about 40 years ago called: Atami.   fans of the game can pilgrimage to Atami to have "romantic dates" with one of the 3 ladies.  so enter 1,500 men whom basically relive some experiences in the game with the virtual idols and help bolster the coffers of Atami businesses at the same time.

i gotta say Konami sure knows how to market a product.

a few other low-res pictures of the girls. evidently Konami doesn't employ any1 skilled in the digital arts.

so would you sign up for the dating sim vacation?

I lol'd at how sad this is

Only in Japan, people. Only in Japan.

I wonde what would happen if two men dating the same girl ran into each other at that hotel ._.

"MY NINTENDO DS HAS BIGGER TITS THAN YOURS!"

I lol'd at this comment... It's always a bunch of retards running around with an inborn need to yell how pathetic some people are when something like this occurs. What exactly makes people so willing to instantly look down on others when they do something out of the ordinary?
