Though... they did kill the cow.

It's good to see that the real world can be just as strange as the internet at times.

The game "vacation" takes place in the real city in Japan as the vacation part of the game (the old cliche in anime shows, go to the beach for the day, walk around in kimonos at night and see the fireworks). So where ever the girl is in the game, the real guy will go to that location and have a date at that location. Say it's the beach, the surroundings in the game will be similar to that of the real city on the beach. Or in the case of the article, one of the restaurants was featured in the game.

It's like going on vacation with your highschool girlfriend, yet she costs 2500 yen is on your DS constantly. I mean, if I was a girl and I saw a guy doing that, I would consider him easy prey for a relationship (I mean, not ALL of Japan's nerds are ugly like America's... right?). Anyways, I think it would be fun to do with a group of friends and compare progression of the characters and stuff. Too bad I STILL don't know Japanese characters though... o.o

This is so fail. For one being a nerd does not instantly make you ugly no matter what nationality you are. :/ And for another, I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd steer clear of a guy who thinks computer programming is a good substitute for a real girlfriend.
