when i first read this article it reminded me of this Jonathan Ross'- Japanorama "Otaku Special".
in particular this segment about a group called AKB48 somewhat disturbing. oh yeah be sure to
scope out the "Air Sex" segment. for real.

From what I understand from the article, theres a special "barcode" on statues that appears into digital cameras as a anime character next to you. Sure you can do it with photoshop too I guess. If there was a Higurashi version where I can take a "photo" @ the Hinamizawa shrine with the Higurashi cast, I would for the heck of it.
