Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls
newy:
I really like those ink dots and strokes to replace the usual explosions and what not! I like the whole animation style in general! Today's episode made everything only more mysterious. :-\
donald1:
does Jubei fall in the 'blank slate girl' category? i thought so, but it's not like she becomes a complete idiot, just a complete opposite of her violent self.
paul_vash:
So far I think you are right
This was from TZM's tranlations.

I usually dont like when subbers do this but I thought the t/l notes were actually funny this time.
Eseuldor:
Very intriguing revelation in this episode. Now the opening scenes from the first/preview episode fall into place and makes complete since why there is an army of badass ginsu samurai women flying in the air slicing up B-29 bombers. I think though, they revealed too much too early. I can already guess what the shadow looming over great japan is.
The only lingering question for me now (click to show/hide)is Jubei the only master samurai of Muneakira's that chains him down and keeps him immobile?
It was also interesting to see (click to show/hide)that every master samurai he gives birth to aside from Jubei (since they didn't say what her crest meant I will assume for now it did not hold a particularly 'deep' meaning) reflects a certain aspect or specialty of the samurai herself. For example, Sanada Yukimura's crest means wisdom. And since the historical Sanada Yukimura was a master tactician that makes complete sense. I am going to guess Hannzo's crest will be Oni or Demon. The other characters that we know of (Matabei, Senhime etc. etc.) so far are kind of hard to guess. Also, he probably has the best assortment of potential pick-up lines available to any male in history.
Havoc10K:
I'll try to explain things from my perspective about so far events and kisses lol, i'll use spoilers so you guys can ignore my post if you so desire to:
(click to show/hide)it should be mentioned beforehand, that Yukimura Sanada was a fictional person, no one by that name was ever alive in the Sanada family during the warring states period (Sengokku), at the very least, there NONE historical records of the person ever existing, even his letters were not signed as Yukimura Sanada.
In this show Yukimura's crest says Wisdom, but that is the crest of the Sanada Family (the six circles)
Yukimura was unable to bind Muneakira with chains because she is unable to properly use the power she is bestowed with, she also had her complete consciousness and was aware completely, she was like one of those who wants power but had no skill to control it at all. (click to show/hide)When Jubei Kisses Muneakira, she completely transforms in a some sort of mature self, while her normal "day" self is fairly immature, and child like, her Master Samurai self is a fully matured seasoned swordsman master skilled to completely utilize her powers to a maximum level, the "day" Jubei does not recall any of the events she did during her "Master" mode, the Master Samurai Jubei is capable to bind Muneakira completely, most likely, for his own safety, After all, Jubei's power is fairly destructive, so in order to prevent him from getting harmed, she binds him in place, Yukimura is unable to do so because she is not skilled to do so yet, probably with training she will be able to, She will have to become mature to do it, I mean her personality to be at the mature state, as you can see Jubei has no qualms or any hesitation to kiss Muneakira, she does it with passion no doubt, she loves him, but she has a mature approach to it, Yukimura's approach was very immature, hence her powers may have been uncontrollable.
on Hanzo Hattori, Sen-Hime, "Beta".
(click to show/hide)her crest will likely be Darkness/shadow/deception, as she is a ninja it could be this case, I think the crest represents the attribute of the person, rather that characters, if so Sen's would have to be Pride or something like that, and Beta's would have to be Loyalty.I doubt that will be the case, Yukimura's is Wisdom because the Sanada family is known for it, and it's use on the battlefield.
but that is from my point of view.
the inking fits this show perfectly, if I was to watch this show now without the inking, it would be pretty much uninteresting.
