I really like those ink dots and strokes to replace the usual explosions and what not! I like the whole animation style in general! Today's episode made everything only more mysterious. :-\

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

does Jubei fall in the 'blank slate girl' category? i thought so, but it's not like she becomes a complete idiot, just a complete opposite of her violent self.

So far I think you are right

This was from TZM's tranlations.

I usually dont like when subbers do this but I thought the t/l notes were actually funny this time.

Very intriguing revelation in this episode. Now the opening scenes from the first/preview episode fall into place and makes complete since why there is an army of badass ginsu samurai women flying in the air slicing up B-29 bombers. I think though, they revealed too much too early. I can already guess what the shadow looming over great japan is.

The only lingering question for me now

It was also interesting to see

I'll try to explain things from my perspective about so far events and kisses lol, i'll use spoilers so you guys can ignore my post if you so desire to:

on Hanzo Hattori, Sen-Hime, "Beta".

I doubt that will be the case, Yukimura's is Wisdom because the Sanada family is known for it, and it's use on the battlefield.

but that is from my point of view.

the inking fits this show perfectly, if I was to watch this show now without the inking, it would be pretty much uninteresting.

Everything were thinking is mostly conjecture on our part and based from our point of view. Although a lot of our thoughts are most likely spot on and accurate. Being such, I don't disagree with most of what you just posted. That said I have one quick correction which is that Sanada Yukimura was a real historical figure. The crest was a characteristic that he was associated with.

a little of reading in that wiki article and you can find this:
Quote
A fact about Sanada Yukimura is that, in primary historical sources and personal letters penned by himself, he was never referred to as Yukimura. That name surfaced in a military novel written during the Edo period and has since been popularized in modern plays, books, novels, and different media of entertainment. The historical documents use his historical name "Nobushige", but his pen name "Yukimura" was never mentioned. One theory is that the name Yukimura is a portmanteau of Masayuki (his father) and Date Tsunamura.

And now we have another Master Samurai. Though this episode with its comedy elements contrasts a bit too much the previous episodes imo.

I wonder how Sen would react if they did lol, she is overly emotional and jealous, she would likely get them spanked XD

also Jubei's case seems to be proven, Yukimura explained that you should be able to retain ego and personality when transformed, maybe that is also the case with the chains when Jubei awakens, now they have a slight chance against Jubei when she decides to kiss him heheh XD

I dunno that's possible. Another thing I am thinking is that now he gets chained down when the real Jubei comes out because she is much too powerful and one false step on his part will get him killed. The others probably haven't the power level yet that they could fatally wound him at this point in time.

I am hoping he is absurdly powerful himself. Maybe with the potential to even dwarf Jubei's power and strength one day.

we actually haven't seen him in a serious fight yet, so it is possible he is quite powerful himself, we also have to think about how Jubei came to be, she pretty much popped out of thin air, we know nothing about her other than the fact she has 2 personalities, and both have his life at the highest priority for now, also the other Jubei seems to still have control over the petite Jubei, last time you could clearly see she made the kiss to prove something to Yukimura, so while this petite Jubei doesn't retain herself while transformed, the other seems to be fully aware and is "just watching" at the moment.

Yukimura and Sen are powerful now, I wonder what will happen if Jubei will be at her fullest in a spar against all four (Beta, Yuki, Sen and Hanzo)
I would bet my lunch box Jubei would kick their asses.

If that happens I would be more than happy is instead of kicking there asses (which I agree I am pretty confident she do quite easily), she instead toyed around with and humiliated them in an effort to teach them a lesson and show how to control and bring out there full power through simulated battle or something like that.

imagine how embarrassed Sen would be being humiliated so often by Super Jubei XD

that would be PRICELESS, even mastercard doesn't come close XD

Edit.

Pretty cool episode, Go Go Jubei-Chan :D

yaay, Jubei has a doggy now :D

this was an interesting episode, BDs are going to sell well :)
The BDs sure are nice, those that only start to watch this show, go with the BDs, first two eps are done by coalgirls and kira-subs, and likely to be done by some otehr groups as well.

ep10 was quite good, I even laughed my ass off on the preview :)

Argh and as I expected the ending wasn't satisfactory at all ... wish more time was put into storytelling than fanservice but guess that's too much to wish for.

Having said that for I did quite enjoy this show, it did some things quite good and in an original way (the "ink" styling, soundtrack, character design, battle scene animations, ....) and it seems to have truly awakened a new fetish for me lol

So, considering the ending:

Just finished this series and I really enjoyed it. Great visual style, artwork, action, and characters. Well one of the characters was pretty annoying but still, solid stuff. No real complaints about the ending except for the color drop, didn't appreciate that bit of artistic liberty. Overall I thought it was very slick, and I got a hold of all the RAWS. So AMV time  :D

If fans of this haven't checked out 'Freezing', I think they should give it a look. Another Ecchi action series with style, that looks to be a lot of fun.

OMG HELL YEA UNCENSORED! The graphics are mind blowing! I mean, those pitch black ink whatever! <333333333333333

I been just watching the first five minutes of the first episode for the past 3 days. I keep delaying the anime over and over again because I go do some other things, but the real reason is I don't want to start watching this get hooked and then meet the ending. Don't you ever have that? Good anime should never have an ending. Why Toradora must have an ending?! Why Fate must have an ending?! Switch the garbage 300+ episode anime like Naruto and One Piece for these! I DEMAND!

Back to reality, going to "for sure" finish the first episode tonight.. before getting back to Tactics Ogre.

So that they end up like garbage too? Suuuuuuuure... Though the only shounen show that is garbage is Bleach. Naruto and OP have at least interesting stories and meta stories unlike Bleach...

This show was only good in the animation department, the story was rather meh in the end. Started promising (as usual).

Naruto is boring as hell. I dropped it around 100 episode or so and I don't feel like getting back into it anytime soon. One Piece is meh.

As for Hyakka, I don't know yet. I'm on episode 3 and I'm liking it so far. Fanservice is great as usual.
