I bought the parts for my computer from newegg and tigerdirect
I'd go with those two (find one that you want and then compare the prices)

Newegg is a wholesaler, so chances are they've got the best prices for most things. From my experience, their home brand Rosewill tends to be of unbeatable quality and price.

I'd add eBay to a place to look. Lots of things are way cheaper on eBay (like printer ink - about $40 on TigerDirect vs. about $10 on eBay). If you're willing to risk it, that is.

Here are the links of the product:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220695&cm_re=Asus_G73JH-_-34-220-695-_-Product

http://www.pcconnectionexpress.com/IPA/Shop/Product/Detail?Sku=11071040&ref=dynamitedata.com&cm_mmc=B2BB2C-_-sitewide-_-Detail-_-popupfirst

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5725517&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs

The problem is that tigerdirect and pc connection have the same price for the laptop but the difference is that td has a 640gb hdd whereas pcc has 1tb hdd.

I could buy it form PC connection but since no one referred it to me, i could go for tigerdirect. Can anybody advice me on this?

Ok... All HDDS roll at 7200rpm. Sweet. But Tiger direct is a raid 0 at 320x2? Wtf?
Newegg is a 500 single?
pcconnections is a single 500rpm? or 500x2 raid 0?
Can you raid the other two?

Another issue being that these are all similar product, but not exactly the same.

Here's the deal. If newegg is just rolling 1 HDD, then to raid it yourself, isn't hard. Not to mention, you save 50 bucks AND shipping in comparison to the other two, not to mention newegg does hold a higher user satisfaction (afaik) from most users on this forum.

Electronics for price and customer service, don't get much better than newegg.

+1 for newegg.

If your looking for a more custom laptop I have heard good things about I Buy Power.  I have never used them myself but know several people who have with good results.

Just remember,  before you criticize someone, walk a mile in there shoes.  That way you are a mile away and have their shoes. :P

+1 for Newegg.  Tiger Direct screwed up one of my shipments once and it was a huge hassle to sort things out.
