utorrent DL speed HELP!

I just started my BakaBT account and have only completely downloaded one thing and just started another.
Problem is, also the first download was only 32.6 MB, my ratio is horrible right now and to help it im trying to put a download limit on my current torrent and its not working!
I'm using utorrent 2.0.4
I have gone into prefernces and put a limit of 10 kb/s on.  Then right clicked the torrent and but the same limit on. utorrent shows that the limit is on but its still downloading at <100 kb/s and barely seeding at all!

You will never be banned for poor ratio, only warned and that is only a factor after you leeched 25 GB.
Just keep seeding and eventually you'll make up for it.

sigh, oh good. i was reading up on things and i kept seeing "warned" and how we need a good ratio.  I automatically thought that after a warning come banning @_@
still curious about my problem though

Uh, do you realize the other torrent has no leechers? You can't exactly send data to nobody. (Just realized you weren't asking about this)

And about your speed limit problem, there seems to be some bug in uTorrent that affects it. I've seen a report of the same problem before, where setting a download speed limit does nothing to limit the download speed. Try reporting it on uTorrent forums. Of course, see if the problem has been solved already first.

XD never thought about going to the utorrent forums.  Thanks for the advice and little input about the bug!
