Bonus Torrents that cease to be bonus?
surdumil:
Days? Wrong time frame.
Think weeks, maybe months depending on the torrent's seed/leech ratio. That ratio will vary constantly, unless there simply are no leechers.
Six torrents? Wrong scale.
Think ten, twenty, thirty, more torrents to increase the likelihood of some of your torrents becoming bonus torrents. For most torrents that I've been watching, the number of seeders changes over the course of a 24 hour period. The number of leechers usually changes much more rapidly. There are a few torrents that are reliably bonus torrents, but that changes quickly as the torrent's luck/attraction varies. (hint: with no leeches, bonus will often be up to about 4 seeders right now. Mileage may vary. So will that value)
Bonus? This is meant to provide slight encouragement to seeders to support more rare, less popular torrents that usually have infrequent leeches and low seeder populations. Bonus encourages at least a minimum number of seeders for these torrents, and encourages seeders to spread their support to a number of these less popular torrents. A torrent's bonus status is adjusted hourly, based on the torrent's seed/leech ratio or number of seeders (if there are no leechers).
Bonus points are a nifty diversion for folks who are interested in less popular, rare, experimental, and eclectic anime and manga. If you manage to seed ten bonus torrents for a few hours, it's amazing how quickly your totals increase. Unless you seed a vast number of torrents, achieving that kind of production is very difficult. Check out the top ten bonus point earners. They're heroes for supporting rare torrents!
To efficiently increase in your ul:dl ratio:
0. Read the Wiki. Study it. There's gold in thar!
1. Improve your upload speed or hire a seedbox (faster seeders send more packets to leechers)
2. Do the logged-out download/logged-in seeding trick (zero recorded leech, all recorded seed)
3. Download and seed freeleech torrents (zero recorded leech, all recorded seed)
4. Regularly participate in initial leech/seed swarms for freshly-approved torrents (full recorded leech, but many seed opportunities)
5. Upload new content (zero leech, all recorded seed). There aren't many regular uploaders. The torrent offer process is careful and stringent, and requires some care and effort. When the torrent is approved, your upload rate will vary depending on competing seeder data rates. Faster seeders attract more packet transfer.
That's how this game is played, mate.

Wow... great ideas there.
And here I was thinking six downloads were already a lot. :-))
I am wondering though is #2 legal?

Yes it is. BakaBT is a public tracker.
Freedom Kira:
Not that it's encouraged, though.
