Why does the official translations take so long?  

idk, I got my K-ON mandarin version for over a year already. American companies are just dumb not to notice popular trends? Either that or the Japanese are very particular about licensing out their stuff.

Why does the official translations take so long?  

Well, for long series it makes sense to spread the releases over months so the publishing doesn't catch so they have to wait 3-4 months for a new volume.

But I guess proper translation could also be an important factor, and the fact that they might not have enough translators. I'd appreciate if they could keep the same translator or at least copy the first translator.

Although K-ON has ended so the "long-series" excuse can't be used.

2 S&W volumes have been released, and they are on like volume 12.  Not going to catch up anytime soon.

Well here's mine. We actually have such a bad lighting here since the black shelves sort of just suck all the light that I had to try and hold a small led flashlight in my hand while trying to take steady pictures (and trying to stand on a bed while doing it isn't exactly easy) So, sorry for the "great" quality of these xP

These are the closeups of the first shelf.

All of them don't fit in the shelves so I have a stash of about 70(?) albums somewhere but I'm too lazy to dig them out for photoshoot. They're mostly stuff like Detective Conan, One Piece and old, bigger Viz albums.

You can make it work when you click on it and remove the "i." from the URL but that's a lot of hassle to view all the images so don't bother xD
Imgur really needs to fix that.
