I just started playing Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it!  This thread just won over another person to the fandom of Touhou. :) So far I've only made it to the beginning of Stage 4 without dying (end of Stage 4 with continues, hahaha), but I'll get better with time.  Well, off to see if I can get it to run on my macbook too! *skips away happily*

Aw yeah! Got to stage 2 on IN! Totally proud of myself... even though I died shortly therafter

Trust me, she's easier than going against Marisa


90% of the time I lose all my lives on Marisa (I play hard), even if I have like 4 or 5 lives in stock with full bombs, I still manage to get my ass handed to me with her fucking stars :-/

Although Marisa is still cool

Memorize the patterns lol, also if you really want to be pro watch youtube vids for help on pattern memorization

You have to become one with the game, completely lose your sense of self and blank out your surroundings. It's a bit like meditating, I hear painkillers may also help in achieving this state.
