Toyohime and Watahime (I get the feeling I'm getting this wrong) are the two moon princesses as seen in the Touhou Bougetsushou series (SSiB and Inaba of the Earth/Moon, as well as CiLR)

Hi there, can anyone tell me which of these are maybe a tad easier to start learning it? I got one called Double spoiler or something similiar and while I like it, some levels I just can't seem to be able to finish.

Ah, 12.6 was it?

Anyways, 12.6, thoigh fun, doesn't follow the gameplay mechanics of the "mainline" games (the games with whole numbers, not decimals)

If you wanted to play one of the easied mainline games, my personal suggestion would be Inperishable Night (touhou 8) and Mountain of Faith(touhou 10)

I would suggest number 6 "Embodiment of Scarlet Devil", just because it's the earliest one which is easy to install. If you want to get better just play on the easiest setting a few times, and remember to set your lives to 5 in the options menu. Then as you get better either give yourself less lives or play on harder settings.

Because I feel like it.

Theyre all the same to install... Hell, the versions i have dont even need installs...

And though EoSD is best to start off from for the chronology, difficulty wise EoSD isn't one of the "easier" touhous

1-5 needs an emulator. 6+ does not. And I think the reason Zenon felt it was hard was most likely because he didn't give himself more than 1 life(if he didn't increase his lives).

Because I feel like it.

the default life count is 2 lives. Also almost no one plays the first 5... well, I occasionally play Mystic Square but that's about it.

Hm seems pingryanime was right, I played 12.6.

The one I played didnt have lives, you just replay the single stages untill you get 3 of them to advance to another level. That odd?

Oh and thanks everyone for your suggestions, I shall try some of them.

yeah,  double spoiler is a bit different from the other touhou game mechanics. It's fun, don't get me wrong, just not the "true touhou" gameplay (though tbh, I like 12.3 more than any other touhou game, lol)(12.3 is a fighting-esque game)

My single greatest Touhou achievement was clearing the first stage of Subterranean Animism Lunatic without firing a shot.

@Ping: I could never get into the fighting games, perhaps there's something I'm missing...

Edit: I just got my PS3 controller (got a PS3 yesterday) to play Touhou games! This was totally worth the $400 purchase!
