At school I'm the asian who no one "really" knows.  Except for 1-2 close friends.

PS: This somehow reminds me of a friend of mine who saw me playing Touhou and she went like "Huh? You play girly games?". Seriously, WTF, any game that is colorful and has many female protagonist is girly? Well, she haven't seen Queen's blade and haven't seen someone play eroge yet. so yeah.

I never really though of it as multinational, as it's just normal to see minorities like myself everywhere.

it's not really a girly game though. all the characters are cute loli girls cuz ZUN is a lolicon. so what if it has bright pretty colors. if you get distracted, you can seriously get yur ass handed to you in the game.

On the "girly game". Games like touhou aren't really popular here in my country. facebook games? Popcap games? yes.
doujinshi? eroge? no. So i guess that would be the natural response here. on cute loli girls. I don't think Reimu, Alice, Yukari, Komachi, etc. would count as loli. i hear reimu was 16 or something in the 1st game.

All the "human"s in Touhou, Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, etc (well sakuya is TECHNICALLY a human but...), anyways, all the humans are in their mid teens if I remember correctly, although Sakuya might have been a bit older

i dont think its very popular in America (the country in which i live), but i tell people about it all the time and even make copies of the games for those who want them. i do my best to spread the word.

Then you have the young ladies like Reimu



basically 90% loli, 5% young ladies, and 5% mature.
