The best game on steam.  I would recommended purchasing it to support the developers, torrents kill indie game developers

I dunno, if i recall correctly, theyve sold over 200,000 copies or something...?
Anyhow, i bought it anyways, finished the game (twice), lvl 39, and now trying to get 100% everything?
I wonder how long it will take...

Of course not the company itself, but the localization.

"One month to the day after Carpe Fulgur started taking pre-orders for the game (eighteen days after release), they announced in a news post on their website, that they had sold 26,000 copies of the game"

That's a lot considering that MangaGamer probably sells about 2000 copies of a title a year, if I heard correctly. Recettear is pure awesomeness. I'm gonna go play now 'till I collapse from malnutrition. Screw classes@uni, I've got an item shop to run. Capitalism, ho!

there's tons of good stuff about the game in the Recettear forum http://www.carpefulgur.com/forum/index.php?board=3.100

i finally unlocked Nagi, it took a lot of not selling anything so i can go adveturing and talking to people around town. Nagi, imo, is the cutest one in the game. i didnt get to sell much to her yet, just a watermelon. i'll make customer of her yet.

i got the fourth dungeon too. i read its got 100 floors! thats going to be fun. i cant wait to do a boss rush with all of them.

Just thought I'd tell everyone who hasn't bought this game yet that Steam is having a Thanksgiving sale, and today's (only for today) sale has Recettear in a pack with 4 other indie games going for $5!

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/6790/

I haven't played this game, but I'm gonna buy it today just to see what all the hubbub is about :D

That is all for now
There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

Yatta = Yayifications!

I think it's fine, because it brought them a HUGE English-speaking audience.

Is it the only JRPG on steam?

Level 9 and already have over 52k :P
This is some highly addictive and awesome game, but Recette, that is one heck of a bitch.

In any case, awesome game ;D

Buy at 40% and sell at as much as 260%?!?!?

You guys are clearly far better than I am at this.

I'm nearing the 80,000 deadline with barely enough & lvl 13 merchant.

I usually buy at 60-70% and sell at 110-130% for normals, 160% for high demand stuff.

fun game, really addicting.

The linear nature of your Euclidean geometry both confounds and befuddles me.

You can get 200-300% easily on 'high price' stuff.
I tend to stock up on stuff when it's 'low price', and I never sell stuff that is low price.

I have about 200K right now
