My major (game design) has me learning C# and C/C++, but I have 2 classes this semester that make me use Java. One is mobile/casual game development which has you pushing to mobile devices. Last year was making a game in HTML5. This year it is making a Java game for Android devices. My other class that is using it is advanced application programming which has us making these little programs. The rate that we have to turn programs and code in is faster than the rate at which I can learn the quirks and practices of Java.

Java will never be a viable language for game development. Don't make me learn it.

The Vampire Diaries was the worst last season, doing that. Speaking of, looks like the next season's starting Oct 3rd. That's not too far off, just next month.

I still haven't watched past s2 e3 of Angel. I never really watched it back in the day. I watched some Buffy, but I never watched the full thing until somewhat recently. Angel's just not as good as Buffy... I mean, he's hot, I'll give him that, but the show just isn't nearly as marathonable.

Yeah I saw most of it when they aired it in the mornings on tnt, it was really ideal to watch it like that.

My internet at home was playing up again and I needed to do work, so I went to the coffee shop I normally go to on such occasions. Bought a coffee, sat down, turns out their wifi is currently broken. So I had to sit there and finish my coffee quickly, then I went to the Wetherspoons down the road (which is basically the only other place in town with free wifi). Bought a coke, sat down... their wifi was also broken! ¬_¬

So, I came back home again, having wasted an hour and a half or so, to find the internet had started working again anyway.

I was told that restarting the modem yesterday would do the trick-- nope.
And the email I last got from an inquiry showed false information.

Just bought Total War: Rome 2 on Steam in a moment of madness, totally forgetting that of course I would need to download the entire game in order to play it. The game is a 20GB download. The monthly bandwidth cap on my internet connection, past which we start paying per MB, is 20GB.

It could be some time before I'm actually able to play the damn thing...
