My new mouse just died, and, like the bastards that they are, Best Buy's warranty only lasts 15 days (this is day 21). I hope they will be nice and replace it anyway. On topic, new electronics that break a few days after expired warranty piss me off.

My friends went there to buy stuff and I just happened to need a new mouse. It was on sale for 20 dollars off (which is still cheaper than other places), so I went ahead and got it. I would have bought it on Newegg or Amazon but because of the high failure rates of mice I figured it would be easier to get it in a store. I just had no idea that Best Buy's warranties only last 15 days instead of the usual month.

This is me trying to convince myself that it wasn't a bad idea.

2:30pm: I arrive at my local train station, to get the train into town. The train arrives just as I get there, so I quickly buy a return ticket at the ticket office and get on. All seems normal.

11:15pm: I arrive at the station to get the last train back home. It turns out that due to planned engineering works (which they totally failed to inform me of), all trains are cancelled. The only way to get home is a replacement bus, departing at 12:07am (as opposed to 11:23pm, which was when my train was due to leave), and only stopping at a different station a 30 minute walk from where I wanted to go. Obviously nobody at the station has any clue what's going on, and there's no way to contact anyone with any kind of authority any time soon, so I end up having to wait for the bus.

1am: I finally get home, when I should have been back before midnight. Not fucking happy

My roommate and his girlfriend have decided, that at 1145 PM, it's a great idea to start making dinner. This would be fine if it didn't involve them doing dishes, loud, then cooking, loud, burning things, strong smells, talking, loud, and then doing dishes again, also loud.


I guess I'm not going to sleep yet, looks like I'll be doing something else.

So after about 4 years 1 of the 2 gtx260s from xfx took a crap.  It just shorted out and the pc turned off and wouldn't come back on...  Turns out it was one of the semiconductors or something fried, can actually see the melted spot.  Even though I have 2 it still ticks me off...
