I manage to avoid all religious ramblings.Then again, I don't live in the US.

I live in a fairly small town with more churches than libraries, fast food eating, schools, and police/hospitals/fire-stations...COMBINE.I...I really had this town and can't wait to move...

heh, join the club. In the future if someone ever asks your religion or anything similar just tell them that you'd rather not talk about it.Most Christians, for annoying reasons, decide it's their personal crusade in life to convert you, save your soul, and steer you off your heathen ways if you tell them you aren't one of them or one of the other major religions.No good can come of it anyways, so just politely decline the conversation topic and they'll just look like assholes if they try to press you further, but just politely reiterate that you'd rather not and they can't really press you further.

I know, I'm FROM one of 'those' right-wing Christian 'lets save the heathens' families.


At this point I give 'em three chances (statements, usually) to be civil.
On the fourth time they say something stupid/mean/etc I have no problem ripping apart their religion like a bully.

Because, well, it's kind of amazing how ATHEISTS seem to know MORE about religion than the people CLAIMING to be part of said religion.

Indeed... Being an Agnostic Atheist I find that I know more both about the religion someone confronting me belongs to and not only that but the other major alternatives as well of which they are completely clueless to (not to mention various others as well).

Indoctrination at a young age is such a horrible thing, warping impressionable young minds not yet capable of logic and reason and turning them into mindless little superstitious imaginary being worshiping automatons.

Mark my words, one day we'll look back on these things and be abhorred by the primitiveness of it all.
