My PS3 BD-drive stopped recognizing discs one day after my Sora no Otoshimono BDs arrived -.- A reapair would cost 150€, a new super slim would be 175€, a new slim would be 250, a new laser would be 70€... hmm, maybe someone I know might buy it despite the broken drive Oo

No el cheapo 2nd hand PS3 units for spare parts about? Shame it's not as easy as repairing the PS2, used to replace those drive units all the time, could pick up the disc drives for them from a local electronics shop for a tenner.... Those were the days.

Thing thats pissing me off at the moment.... The staggering amount of people my age +/- 5 years (I'm 24) that cannot swim.... It is almost impossible to get a group of my friends together to go swimming.... I just don't understand, swimming is such a vital life skill and one that can be enjoyed. Is swimming uncool now or something?!

My union president, aka the guy I relieve every day, finally got around to making a sign-up sheet for "cleaning stations". Yeah, like you have ever cleaned anything since you started working here asshole. OH, and it's all to make our supervisor look good, as "VIPs" are coming next week.

The problem still is I don't speak hungarian (while living in hungary) and the people that study with me in university don't seem to have a  spare PS3, so I'll probably end up having to buy a new one...

Also I'm glad that there are compulsory, free swimming classes during third grade where I grew up. You essentially can't pass school without learning how to swim, even if it's only the basics.

I really need an outdoor hobby for the months of October through April, but all I want to do now is sleep somewhere warm. I used to snowboard when I could, but thinking about waking up early one day and driving to a hill seems so overwhelmingly stupid at the moment.

Maybe I could swim, swimming is a thing I can do. Not outdoors technically, but I have to go outdoors to get to a pool so it counts.

I'm guessing the differance is that when you wait in line you are usually not getting late for something.

yea, and waiting in line is easier, as even if it is slow, it MOVES. and doesn't repeat itself.

My user interface teacher is obsessed with lists. He reduces everything he teaches as lists even when it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

e.g.
"1. Use font color that contrasts with background
 2. Complementarity
 3. e.g. green vs red, black vs white
"

I have no idea why he does that. Lists are a horrible pedagogical tool.

Public transit today. Had to bail from boarding two streetcars unless I wanted an elbow stuck to the face. Some Jamaican with a box of what sounded like bottles and him putting it on the freaking middle of the pathway in the streetcar. Old people who can't make up their minds whether to go back or stay at the front, but change their minds two seconds later 5 times. Retards with huge backpacks blocking the exit or swinging them like morons.
